We appreciate that often historic allegations can be disruptive and distressing in very different ways to allegations concerning an alleged recent assault. 

We are well versed with the current law on sexual offences as well as previous versions of it which helps us to offer accurate and sensible advice.

As a general rule the law does not have retrospective effective which means that the applicable law will be the law that was in place at the time alleged offence was committed and not the law that is in place at the time the offence is charged.
