Alexandra-Maria is undertaking her pupillage at Lloyds PR Solicitors since October 2022. Prior to joining the firm Alexandra-Maria worked in criminal defence as a freelance paralegal in Chambers and within not-for-profit organisations. At North Kensington Law Centre (‘NKLC’), she supported individuals affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. In 2019, Alexandra-Maria was a finalist at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards in Criminal Defence.
Before joining the firm, Alexandra-Maria worked on cases involving serious violence and sexual offences. She also has experience in homicide, fraud, drug offences and appellate work.
Alexandra-Maria has extensive experience in working with young people from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds which has ranged from lecturing in law to mentoring youth offenders at HMP Feltham YOI. Alexandra-Maria has also facilitated gang outreach and provided empowerment workshops to care leavers on street law to help underprivileged young people understand and navigate their rights. She has also tutored young people with special educational needs.
Alexandra-Maria is also member of Amicus where she works with lawyers fighting for justice on death row. At the Mississippi Center for Justice, she also assisted juveniles facing life sentences without the possibility of parole
